It is all begins when I was drunk one night...

I have been living in HK for a while. It's been my long time ambition to do something there which I would not feel any regret by the time I leave. I have thought of riding on the MTR and visiting every single stations, or visiting every single bar in Wanchai and LKF; but they don't seem to have too much significance.

Its not until September 2007, my friends and I were drinking and someone just told me there are about 800 7-Eleven(s) in HK. Everyone who has been in HK should knows there are a lot but I have never realized there are so many of them. Its like 1 7-Eleven for each 10,000 people there. And 800 is not a small figure. Thus, it could be a real challenge for anyone who is trying to visit every single one of them.

And I told my friends, I would gonna be the first one who did it.

I have been talking about my adventure with my friends over the past few days, and on Oct 3 2007, I started my journey finally. Its hoped that I could complete the challenge by the end of October.

To make it more significant, I will donate HK$ 10 for each of the 7-Eleven I have visited to a local charity organization. (I am not a rich boy, sorry about that) In the past, I have been working at a charity organization known as "Crossroads International". It is found by an Australian couple who has been living in HK for more than 20 years. Their good work includes sending goods and materials to the third world countries, every month without a break in the past 10 years. More detail can be found in their website:

And it will be finished with a quite noble objective!

So, probably I will donate my money to them, unless I found something which is more urgent for my money during my adventure. I would try to organize a donation presentation ceremony with Crossroads when everything is over.

My Adventure will be stopped after I have visited 800 7 Eleven(s) in HK. There is new 7 Eleven opening in HK every month or even every week so, I could not visit every single 7 Eleven in HK anyway. But I promise I will try my best running through every streets in HK to ensure I have not miss any 7 Eleven shop.

It is welcome if you wanna show your support for my adventure or charity. We can talk about it with Crossroads. Or, just be my sponsor :)

You can also follow my adventure on Facebook - "Cheers for Lorencio, from 0 to 7,11". This is the link:

Please feel free to share your view with me. You can either give me an email: or Sign My Guestbook Free Guestbook.

If you know there is any 7-Eleven that I have missed in the area which I have "cleared" already, PLEASE PLEASE let me know!!!

Today - November 10, 2007 - I have made a 7-Eleven song on my way after I have visited the 500th 7-Eleven in my adventure. I hope you could stand for such a stupid thing and would love it :)

The lyrics:

Ohh... I love you 7-Eleven,

They have all you need, they have all the fun;

And when you need something, you don't need to run,

Cos' they are always open,

And you can always find one...

And there is a "Drunk" version if you use Facebook LOL -

November 17, 2007 - I was invited for an interview with 7-Eleven Hong Kong! They were so interested in my adventure as well as my goal for charity. So, if you want to donate money to help the poor all over the world, please don't let the chance leave away from you. Contact me asap!

801 ! Final record as at December 2, 2007

October 3 - December 2, 2007 (60 days)

My 7-Eleven Hong Kong came to an end officially on December 2, 2007 (Sunday). The final record was 801. I have to thank God to give me so much strength throughout the journey, and giving me the opportunity to accomplish my adventure by moving away all the obstacles along. Also, thank you for all my friends who have shown their support. 7-Eleven HK, thank you for providing me the shops list, as well as your recognition.

Nevertheless, it is not the end of my work. I believe I have inspired people in a certain extent that anyone as ordinary as I am, can change the world, can help the poor by any means as long as they have the determination and incentive. The spirit which came to life from my adventure would continue to shine the world and change the lives of everyone.

Moreover, the end of my adventure also marks the beginning of my charity ceremony. Now I have the time to organize the event. Beware of it happening before the end of December 2007. No idea how much money I could raise though.

And finally, one big

December 4, 2007 - Guinness World Record has accepted my application for approval of my adventure as a new world record. Evaluation is being carried out right now and a result would be produced in 4 to 6 weeks!!!

December 6, 2007 - A magazine from HK: The HK Magazine was alerted by my adventure and conducted an interview with me. The article was published on December 14, 2007 on their issue no. 713

The interview with HK Magazine about my adventure.

(They haven't shown me the article before it was published. So, there maybe something inaccurate.)

Another interview with another local media was published on January 8, 2008. I didn't expect they would provide a full page cover for my interview. I got so many people asking me about my adventure now, BUT ONCE AGAIN, NONE of them has mentioned if they would donate any money for charity (include the 4 media companies who has interviewed me so far)...Is Hong Kong people really selfish or not ???

Frankly, when I saw this article, I was a little scared of going out walking around the streets for a few minutes. I wondered how many strangers would notice me LOL

April 26th, 2008

The presentation ceremony is finally set on April 26th 2008. It will be held at the headquarters of Crossroads International in HK. It will mark the end of this remarkable journey, but also the begin of future accomplishment !

Press release:

Here are some pictures of the ceremony

This ceremony marks the end of my adventure, yet I hope it is the beginning of more others' determination in helping the unfortunate ones. Never underestimate yourselves, and never think if it is too late. No matter what you do, even a small thing would give big help to the poor. THANK YOU !
