Sheung Shui

Lung Yeuk Tau - An area with numerous historical buildings. Mini bus no. 54K, Fanling Station.

Sha Tau Kok - Sha Tau Kok is one of the border checkpoints between HK and Shenzhen. It is a restricted area. If you are not going to China, you need to produce a permit in order to enter to the Sha Tau Kok town on the HK side. You may want to get the permit because there is a street called Zhong Ying Street, which means China Britain Street in Chinese. It is right in the middle of the town, so you can step one foot on the China side; and another on the HK side so to speak. Unfortunately, it is very hard to get the permit.

Tai Po

Railway Museum - 15 mins walk from Tai Po Market Station.

Tai Po Kau - taxi from Tai Po Market Station. A place with a cultural museum, restaurant by the lake, and a playground.

Farmer's Market - Tai Wo Estate. 10 mins walk from Tai Wo Station.

Wishing Tree at Lam Chuen - Bus no. 64K / 65K from Tai Wo Station, get off at Fong Ma Po bus stop. Make a wish the Chinese way!

Yuen Long

Wetland Park - 5 minutes walk from Wetland Park Light Rail Station. Wetland Park is the latest nature park of HK. It is a preserved area where you can see the rare red forests, the hard to find alligator in HK, and many other wetland habitants. Entrance fee is HK$ 30. Opening hours: 10:00 to 17:00.

Ching Chung Koon - the 2nd biggest Taoism temple in HK. 5 minutes walk from Tuen Mun Ching Chung Light Rail Station.

Lung Kwu Sheung Tan Paradise - A watersports venue. Bus no. K52 from West Rail Tuen Mun Station. Water Bird / Aqua Skipper, wakeboard, and many more.

Gold Coast

Sham Tseng - a famous place for Roast Goose. Mini bus to Yuen Long from Temple Street, Yau Ma Tai. Get off at Sham Tseng.
